Know Me Better

Hi! I’m Estela

I am a native Spanish Barcelona-based UX/UI designer and Swing dancer. I also have a background in Project Management and Design.

I graduated in Fine Arts and Interior Design and soon after I started working as a Project Manager in Desigual, opening stores all around the world.

As a Project Manager, a big part of my work was overcoming a variety of problems through creative solutions. Over years, I became very good at finding quick, practical solutions to day-to-day project challenges. As much as I liked the work, the creative part was missing, and I felt that there was much more that I could offer and explore. Hence, after eight years of work in project management, I decided to expand my education with a Master in Product and Business Design at Domus Academy in Milan, Italy. That is where I gained my interest in User-Centered Design and started creating my first digital projects and applying design thinking methodologies to them. I always kept in mind the focus on entrepreneurship and innovation as fundamental aspects of creativity. With the knowledge acquired, I became prepared for design-related business entrepreneurship. I also started being able to understand, communicate and enhance products based on user needs.

After my studies, I started working as a freelance Designer and 3D Modeler. When the pandemic hit, it became clear to me that a digital transformation will follow, hence I decided to go deeper into the User Experience and User Interface Design through completing a Bootcamp at Ironhack.

Since then, together with my team I have been focusing on the development of my start-up PlanCo, a corporate benefit solution for industrial site employees. PlanCo quickly started shaping into a very interesting project gaining broad recognition. For instance, we were one of the 15 finalists in the 2021 EU Start-up Summit. We also participated in the MWC Barcelona as well as Start-up Autobahn EXPO10 powered by Plug and Play and Schaeffler Digital Innovation Day.

Traveling has always been an important part of my life, which is why I lived and worked in Barcelona, Frankfurt, Marseille, New York, and Milan. I love getting inspired by design around the world and applying that inspiration to practical solutions.
